Tinn municipality has been voted Norway’s best for athletics. The reason for this distinction is because of the excellent athletics facilities and availability of these. In addition, Rjukan and Tinn can be proud of an exciting and varied countryside, which is well suited to all kinds of outdoor activities.

At Rjukan Senior High School, you may find several athletics departments, and an active athletics and outdoor environment. The following departments are represented in addition to Telemarkski Rjukan:

Training

With Rjukan as the starting point, you have, as a Telemark skier, a varied choice of pistas, which can give you all-round training both in mountain Telemark and racing. This will give you an excellent opportunity to develop as a skier.

The Gaustablikk alpine facility is well known for being the first in Norway to have had snow in winter for the last 15 years, and which will go trough comprehensive development in the coming year. Every year the World Cup arrangement is held in Telemark, which is the focus of great national and international interest.
